Thunderstorms move through Oklahoma City early Thursday

A flood advisory has been issued for parts of central Oklahoma Thursday.

Northern Lincoln, southern Payne and Logan counties are in the advisory area.

Some street flooding was reported during showers Thursday morning in Oklahoma City, according to police radio reports.

Overnight thunderstorms caused a number of power outages in Oklahoma City Thursday, the National Weather Service reported.

Power had mostly been restored to Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman by 6 a.m. with less than 400 outages remaining in Oklahoma City and Moore, the Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co. website showed.

Hail was reported in western parts of the state as storms moved into Oklahoma City early Thursday.

The Oklahoma City forecast for Thursday shows a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Cloudy skies will gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 72. South winds 5 to 8 mph will shift to the north. The chance for more rain is 60 percent in Oklahoma City.
