Yakima County Commissioner Norm Childress is a long time public servant in the truest sense with a dozen years on the Grandview City Council and 14 more as Grandview's Mayor.

He was elected to the Yakima County Commission and since no good deed goes unpunished, one year into the job he finds himself on the front lines of the County's push to get business back up and running in the face of some of the worst Coronavirus numbers in the state.

Childress called KIT's Morning News show this morning (6/5/20) to help clarify for County residents the challenges they face given the Governor's multi-phase reopening plan.

It is safe to say that the entire County Commission is just as frustrated as most residents and business owners are.
