LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's golf team returns to action in the Grand Canyon State to play in the Red Rocks Invitational, March 23-24, in Cornville, Ariz. at the Agave Highlands Golf Club.
NM State is joined on the links by 17 teams including Cal Baptist, CSU Fullerton, Creighton, Drake, Gonzaga, Idaho State, Illinois State, Montana, Montana State, North Dakota State, host Northern Arizona, Seattle, Southern Utah, Stephen F. Austin, Weber State, Wichita State and Wyoming.
Competing for the Aggies in the weekend tournament are
Pun Chanachai,
Chantal Dueringer,
Dominique Galloway,
Kehler Koss and
Maria Prado.
Angela Xu is set to compete as an individual. Chanachai was just named the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time this spring on March 13.
Play is set to begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. MT on Saturday, March 23, for the first two rounds of action and then a final shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. for the final 18 holes on Sunday, March 24 to close the tournament. Following the Red Rocks Invitational, the New Mexico State women's golf team gets back in action at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, April 8-9, in Maricopa, Ariz. at the Southern Dunes Golf Club.
