 NM State men's golf
diaper dandies
Trey Diehl and
Aidan Thomas delivered strong opening-round performances Friday at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate.
The freshmen each shot a one-over-par 73 in the first round and are tied for 40th headed into tomorrow's action at Classic Club.
Senior
Tanvir Kahlon followed closely behind them in a tie for 66th, carding a three-over 75. Sophomore
Garrison Smith and freshman
Steven Strasheim fired a seven-over 79 and nine-over 81, respectively, to round out the Aggies' fivesome.
NM State is tied for 18th overall at 12-over 300. Oregon, led by first-place individual Tom Gueant (eight-under-par 64), sits atop the leaderboard at 10-under 278.
The second round of play picks up first thing tomorrow morning. Sunday's third and final round also goes off at 8 a.m. MT.
