Dramatic video of a deadly 47-car pile-up showed pure chaos on a snow-covered Missouri highway Friday.
One person was killed and at least seven others injured in the mayhem, according to police.
Images posted to Twitter showed multiple vehicles speeding into one another on I-70 outside Kansas City. A person in the video can be heard saying, “Oh my lord, there’s nothing we can do” as horns blare and cars barrel down the road.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Collin Stosberg described the carnage as a “chain reaction pile-up” that started with a single crash around 11:30 a.m., then spiraled out of control on the icy road.
