Big Apple gasoline prices are headed upward for warmer weather and the vacation season.
A gallon of regular is hovering at $3 in the city, after climbing from a 2019 low of about $2.50 in February, said price-tracking service GasBuddy.com.
Costs climb in the spring as filling stations switch to summer-blend gas, which is more expensive to produce, according to the American Automobile Association.
New York’s price fluctuations mirror those of the rest of the country, but city residents pay roughly 20 to 30 cents more per gallon than the national average, according to GasBuddy.
