New Jersey man shoots at home invaders after grabbing one of their guns: cops

A New Jersey man shot at two masked, armed invaders after managing to wrestle away one of their handguns, according to police.

The man fought back, managing to grab one of the guns after a “violent struggle,” shooting at the crooks who fled out a rear door, cops said, while cautioning that “the information has not been confirmed.”

“It is unknown if the suspects have been shot,” the press release added, with area hospital put on alert.

Police insisted the robbery appeared to be “targeted” toward one of the residents and insisted, “There is no reason to believe that the public is in any further danger.”

The male victim was treated at the scene but refused further help. It was not initially clear if anything was stolen by the pair, who broke in through a rear bathroom window, police said.
