Stanford is latest elite university linked to Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein gifted Stanford University $50,000 for its physics program, making it the latest elite school to be linked to the late billionaire pedophile, a report said.

The university admitted to accepting the donation from Epstein’s COQU Foundation in 2004, two years before allegations of child sex abuse against him first emerged.

“The funds were expended shortly thereafter and we have no record of any other gifts to the university from him or his foundations,” a Stanford University spokesman said in an email to Bloomberg News.

The disclosure comes after Stanford previously told BuzzFeed it found no evidence that it accepted money from Epstein. The school said BuzzFeed asked about gifts from Epstein made after 2006, Bloomberg reported. It said it told the outlet about the 2004 donation.

Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology also accepted millions from Epstein.

The money to Harvard came before Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida on soliciting an underage prostitute; MIT’s relationship with Epstein lasted for at least a decade afterwards.

Both universities said they are conducting internal reviews of the gifts.
