Tennessee QB Brian Maurer dumped in cutthroat TikTok video

The year 2019 gave us the Tesla cybertruck, the first images of a black hole and the TikTok breakup.

Tennessee Volunteers backup quarterback Brian Maurer was dumped by girlfriend Morgan Hood in the most millennial way possible — via the popular social media platform.

The short video, set to “All You Wanna Do” from the musical “Six,” begins with a mélange of images with the text, “wait, your ex is Brian Maurer?” overlaid. First is a photo of the formerly happy couple on the field at Neyland Stadium, followed by a Snapchat presumably sent by Maurer that reads, “hi 😍😍😍😍😍.” Another screenshot shows Maurer pouting after an unanswered FaceTime call to Hood.

The walk down memory lane takes a savage turn with a photo of the quarterback falling on his head during a game against Mississippi State on Oct. 12. Maurer threw two interceptions behind starter Jarrett Guarantano in the Vols’ 20-10 win.

Next, Hood appears on screen.

“Yeah, that didn’t work out, so I decided to have a break from boys and you’ll never guess who I met,” Hood lip-synced.

Text blurbs that read, “better grades,” “less people in bars asking how he is???,” “hydrated bc less crying,” “no more girls in my dms telling me he’s cheating,” “my real friends,” “sleep,” and “ME,” “MYSELF,” “I” appear in sequence with Hood smugly grinning and posing in the background.

Maurer, 18, responded to Hood’s scorched-earth message with an Instagram story: “Girls do anything for they 15 seconds of fame ♥️”

What a time to be alive. Better luck at the Gator Bowl, Brian.
