Beverly - Jacqueline Frances "Jackie" (Blanke) Dubiel, 79, of Beverly, passed away on July 31, 2020, after a long, courageous battle with illness.
Born on December 18, 1940, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred (Hayes) Blanke. She was raised and educated in Sheboygan, was a graduate of Trinity High School and attended the University of Illinois. She took many courses at North Shore Community College after moving to Salem.
Jackie had been employed by Unitrode and then for many years E.G. & G. in Salem until the time of her retirement. She was happiest when with family and friends, always encouraging and looking out for their success. She will be remembered for her smile and laughter, as well as her compassion.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Salem for many years before moving to Beverly. She taught CCD, was a member of the Ward 5 Neighborhood Association in Salem, and spent 20 years running the Separated, Divorced and Widowed Support Groups at LaSalette Shrine in Ipswich, Ste Anne's Parish and Immaculate Conception Parishes in Salem. She also ran a Bereavement Support Group at St. Paul's Parish in Hamilton for many years.
Jackie is survived by her children, Laura Dubiel of Danvers, Marc Dubiel and his wife Denise of Wakefield, Barbara Jean and her husband Robert of Peabody, and Nancy Dubiel of Vermont; her grandchildren, Nicholas and Alex Jean of Peabody, and Katelyn, Jake and Taylor Dubiel of Wakefield. She also leaves her former husband Thaddeus Dubiel of Middleton.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours at O'Donnell - Cremations - Funerals - Celebrations, 84 Washington Sq. (at Salem Common), Salem, Thursday, August 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., followed by her funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem at 11 a.m. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing and are respectfully asked for no physical contact with the family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on her behalf, or to a charity of your choice. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
