Bhubaneswar: Days after a minor girl from Odisha was rescued by the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) in Rajasthan, another minor girl has been rescued from the northern State. With the help of Rajasthan Police, Sambalpur Police has rescued the girl.

As per the complaint, on February 8, a man from Tarbha area of Sonepur had kidnapped the minor girl and allegedly sold her in Rajasthan. Subsequently, the girl managed to flee and informed Kirba Police in Rajasthan.

Family members of the girl had lodged a complaint at Dhama Police Station in Sambalpur and later met the SP. Following the complaint, a special team was constituted to investigate the case.

While police have arrested one person in connection with the case, it has launched a manhunt to arrest two others involved in the case.

"After my daughter went missing I lodged a complaint at the police station," father of the minor girl said.

Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora said," We have arrested one person in the case and trying to collect more information from the girl. After gathering enough evidence we will take further action."
