“Koffee With Karan” hosted by the famous Bollywood producer and director Karan Johar is a light-hearted, uber-casual talk-show. On this show aired on Star World, the new entrants and the most successful share the couch and talk on different interesting aspects of their life including sex and personal tidbits.

For the first time, Karan broke the rule last season by inviting the current Indian cricket heartthrobs KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya instead of a celebrity from the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, some of the statements made by these two budding cricketers triggered off controversy leading to their temporary suspension for a series. But did that cause a rift between Pandya and Rahul who are very good friends?

Rahul Was Bitter And Affected Post Controversy

Post the controversy both the cricketers apologized and eventually everything was settled. But what lingered on was the bitterness that affected both Pandya and Rahul’s life. The unfolding of these events made them both very angry. But at that time Rahul turned to his close ones to get through the emotional crisis.

Recently in an interview, the opening batsman of India said, "I won’t lie. I was bitter for a bit; it affected and bothered me a lot. I was angry, but I came out of it all as a more accepting person. I understood that certain things are sensitive, and no matter what you do, certain people will find the bad in you. It was important that I spoke about it with those close to me, and I was happy to be in my little bubble — friends, and cricket."

While discussing whether the controversy made any difference to his friendship with Hardik Pandya, Rahul said that both of them shut themselves off from the world and were with their respective family and friends. Since both of them are literally 300 days together, either traveling or playing cricket there is no scope for animosity between the two. According to Rahul, they still are good friends and enjoy each other’s company.
