Oklahoma City's Latino Community Development Agency is expanding as the Latino community across the state continues to grow. Though the agency tells me, you should not be confused by their name because they will help anyone who needs help.

"Even though we have Latino in front of our name, anybody that walks through that door is going to be served-- with money, without money, with papers, or without papers; they are going to be served,” says Dr. Raul Font, LCDA President and CEO.

Dr. Font was recently named one of the most admired CEO’s in Oklahoma by The Journal Record and says the recognition is a testament to the work done by every person in the LCDA, and their focus on mental, physical, and emotional health.

Font adds that city leadership in Tulsa has asked the LCDA to bring their services to their community. The agency is in the process of expanding to that part of the state. The non-profit says it is currently fundraising to expand into another building in Oklahoma City and repair their current offices, with the goal of helping the growing community.

“If there's any rich people out there that would like to come by and give us some money, we would love it,” says Font with a laugh.

The LCDA regularly has free health screenings, child care, and other services. For a look at any free or reduced cost programs with the LCDA, click here.
