State Rep. Justin Humphrey, R-Lane, released a letter regarding the nation’s COVID-19 response and the use of Hydroxychloroquine.

"Our nation’s response to COVID-19 should produce fear in every person who stands for freedom, liberty, and the United States," Humphrey said in the letter.

In his letter, he claims China "developed this virus" to infect Americans.

"First, we must establish that China developed this virus," Humphrey said. "It was designed to infect overweight, diabetic, elderly people who have low immune systems. Where are the majority of overweight diabetic people found? That would be America!"

He goes on to encourage Oklahomans "to take courage and begin treating COVID with Hydroxychloroquine," something the FDA advises against.

"I took Hydroxychloroquine along with a regiment of other medications," Humphrey said. "Within two and a half hours I was unbelievably better. I am grateful for my doctor who I credit for saving my life."

He ended the letter by asking Oklahomans to demand the state allow the use of Hydroxychloroquine to treat COVID-19.

"Let’s stop the fear, learn the facts, and restore Oklahoma," he said.
