The Kirkpatrick Family Fund is teaming up with the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation to help preserve and improve the memorial and museum for future generations.

The Kirkpatrick Family Fund announced on Monday a $500,000 matching grant to support the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Looking Back, Thinking Forward campaign.

The dollar-for-dollar challenge grant will match $500,000 in donations made to support the organization’s endowment, for a total of a $1 million in potential donations.

“We appreciate Christian Keesee and the Kirkpatrick Family Fund for continuing their legacy of giving for decades,” said Bob Ross, Chairman of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Foundation. “Thanks to their generous commitment, the memorial and museum is positioned to leave a lasting inspirational and educational impact on every person who visits.”

The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum receives no annual funds from federal, state, or local governments. The memorial and museum runs entirely on donations.

The partnership with Kirkpatrick is just part of the memorial and museum’s $14 million capital/endowment campaign.

“No institution is more perfectly positioned to help others discover strength in brokenness, courage in grief, and resolve in pain,” said Keesee, president of the Kirkpatrick Family Fund. “Today, we stand at a turning point. Our hope for this gift is to continue the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum’s trajectory as a premier memorial, museum and educational institution for tomorrow’s visitors.”
