Compared to the last sale two weeks ago: Slaughter cows $1-$6 lower, except Boner cows $2-$3 higher. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady. Demand very good for slaughter cows in moderate to heavy flesh. Demand also very good for slaughter bulls. Quality of replacement cows mostly average and these sold to moderate demand. A total of 415 cows and bulls sold with 55 percent going to packers. Supply included: 54% Feeder Cattle (100% Steers); 25% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 21% Replacement Cattle (71% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 25% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs. was 0%.

Slaughter Cows: 1,000-1,975 lbs. Average dressing Boners and Breakers $63-$68; Lean Cows $54-$60.50; High dressing $60-$75; Low dressing mostly Lean Cows $47-$61.50. 850-1,000 lbs. Light Weight Cows Average dressing $52-$53; High dressing $53-$55.50; Low dressing $42-$45.

Slaughter Bulls: 1,300-2,250 lbs. Average dressing $85-$90. High dressing $92-$105.50; Low dressing $76-$84.50.

Replacement Cows: Pretested for pregnancy and age. Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 2-4 year old 1,050-1,500 lb. cows in their first to second trimester $800-$1,100/head; 5-8 year old 1,100-1,500 lb. cows in their first to third trimester $735-$1,025/head; 8-10+ year old 1,150-1,350 lb. cows in their second to third trimester $725-$925/head.

Bred Heifers: Pretested for pregnancy and age. Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 1-2 year old 975-1,100 lb. heifers in their second to third trimester $925-$975/head.

Cow/Calf Pairs: Medium and Large Nos. 1-2: 2-4 year old 1,175 lb. cows with calves<150 lbs. $1,275/pair; 2-4 year old 750-800 lb. cows with calves 150-300 lbs. $975-1,035; 5-8 year old 800-925 lb. cows with 150-300 lb. calves $985-$1,000/pair; 8-10+ year old 975 lb. cows with calves <150 lbs. $800/pair.
