Spring Valley: Motorcyclist Trapped Under Fire Engine After Crash

09.05.2019 | 7:47 PM | SPRING VALLEY – A motorcyclist was trapped under a fire engine after a crash, Thursday night.

San Miguel Fire Engine 16 was responding to a medical call at the Skyline Apartments located in the 8500 block of Paradise Valley Road around 7:47 PM.

While turning into the apartment complex a motorcyclist broadsided the engine causing the rider to become trapped underneath.

Additional resources were dispatched to the scene initiated rescue efforts and appeared to use cribbing to lift the fire engine.

The motorcyclist was freed in under 40 minutes and immediately transported to Mercy Hospital with moderate injuries.

No firefighters were injured in the crash and circumstances surrounding the incident remained under investigation.
