Bhubaneswar: Gulf Odia Association (Goa) formed by nonresident Odias residing in gulf countries has celebrated second annual get together on 11th August at hotel Suryansh to showcase their affectionate towards their motherland Odisha.
This function had been organized by GOA’s core member Mr. Ajaya Kumar Das, Mr. Bana Bihari Mohanty, Mr. Pyarimohan Mallick, Mr. Jayanta Mahapatra, Mr. Mirza Mustafa Baig and Mr. Debasish Rout. Mr. Ajay Kumar Das and Mr. Pyarimohan Mallick had introduced the members and emphasized the purpose of such organization in motherland Odisha.
In this occasion, Odias residing in UAE,Saudi Arabia,Baharin,Oman and Kuwait had joined this second anniversary function.The function was sponsored by ICICI bank and Sai Ashribad Infratec Limited. GOA had been working tirelessly and continuously to showcase the Odia culture in foreign countries. In this occasion, GOA had contributed financially to The Asha Kiran orphanage in Bhubaneswer.
Famous Odishi dancer Kumari Manisha had performed the Odishi Dance. In second half famous young Ollywood singer Mr. Sashank Sekhear and Kumari Prangya Hota had mesmerized the audience with Odia and Hindi Songs.
Chief Coordinators from different gulf based Odia Organization, like Chief coordinator of Oman Odia Samaj Mr. Dinabandhu Samal, Chief Coordinator of Saudi based Kalingan Mr. Shaikh Sharafat,Chief Coordinator of Utkalika Mr. Jayant Mohapatra and President of ROSA from Riyadh Mr. Raziq Wakeel had graced this 2nd annual get together.
In the end, Mr. Ajay Das had thanked all the members present on this eve, to make this gathering successful.
