New Year's Eve: Where To Ring In 2019 In Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, AL - It may come as a shock to some, but 2018 is just days away from being over. That's right, 2019 is coming soon, and for those who like to ring in the new year with a party, there are several options in the Magic City. And for those who just want a dinner with friends, there are options there as well.

The BEST New Year's Eve Party; Iron City, 513 22nd Street S , Birmingham: Featuring music by The Schmohawks and Mario Mena Band, this is a great opportunity to welcome 2019 in style. Two different ticket packages are available. For $75, party-goers receive one ticket to the event; Basic Open Bar Package (Domestic and Imported Cans, House Wine, House Champagne and House Liquor Selections.); Heavy Hors D’oeuvres; Party Favors and a Champagne Toast. Upgrade to a Premium Open Bar Package for $100. Party begins at 9 p.m.

New Years Eve 80s Party at The Woolworth; 1006 20th Street South, 5 Points South: Come to Birmingham's newest entertainment venue in 5 Points South - the Woolworth - and live in the 80s with great retro music, fun costumes and a "totally awesome" party to ring in the new year. Admission is $10, party begins at 6 p.m.

New Year's Eve Food Tour; Brookwood Village, Mountain Brook: Passengers will board a Party Bus with local comic Comedienne Joy and sample small plate bites from 5 restaurants in metro Birmingham during a 4 hour food tour. Passengers meet midway in the parking lot of Grille 29 near Macy's in Brookwood Mall. Begins at 8 p.m. and costs $90.

New Year's Eve Alloy Thai Dinner, Cahaba Brewing Co., 4500 5th Avenue South, Avondale: Alloy Thai and Cahaba Brewing Company are partnering to bring you a New Years Eve multi-course dinner with beer and bubbly. This meal will include hors d'oeuvres, four 4-oz beer pairings, dessert and a bubbly toast. A lantern release is scheduled following the meal, if weather permits. Cost is $75 and the event begins at 8 p.m.

Downtown Countdown 2019, Redmont Hotel, 2101 5th Ave North, Birmingham: Welcome 2019 in style at the gorgeous Redmont Hotel in heart of Downtown Birmingham. Pull up front, hand your keys to valet, and let the party begin. Enjoy 15 floors of fun, food, drinks, views, and music by DJ Mark A.D. Rooftop Bar, Lobby Bar, and entire Mezzanine level open for your pleasure and enjoyment. Party starts at 8 p.m. and cost is $60.
