CONNECTICUT — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut increased by 179 to 42,201 over the past 24 hours, while the number of deaths rose by 32 to 3,944, according to the latest information from the state Department of Public Health.

Hospitalizations continue to drop. The current number of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 has fallen by 52, to 481 beds. A total of 250,046 people in Connecticut have been tested for the coronavirus.

The DPH noted that the number of tests in the latest update does not include the entirety of the data as "there was an upload issue in the transmission of the electronic files to the state." The remainder of the test data that should have been included in that upload update is anticipated to be reflected in data to be released later on Monday.
