BRIDGEPORT, CT — Police have made a second arrest in the killing of a 14-year-old boy whose body was left in Oxford, according to a police statement. On Monday, police issued a juvenile arrest warrant for a teen accused of being involved in the homicide of Jose Nunez.

Police said the teen made an admission about his involvement in the crime and turned himself in. He was charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder and held at a juvenile detention center in Bridgeport, according to police.

Previously, Diante Willoughby, 19, was charged with murder in the case and held on $2 million.

Jose Nunez was reported missing July 28. Police received information later that day that a homicide had been committed and that the body was dumped in another town.

An investigation by detectives led them to a wooded area on Wyant Road in Oxford July 29. The body of the missing teenager was found and identified as Jose Nunez.

Bridgeport police took Willoughby into custody in Oxford after a motor vehicle stop on Route 67.

Police later determined that the cause of death for Jose Nunez was strangulation.

Bridgeport police do not anticipate additional arrests related to the murder of Nunez.
