Bakery Worker Fights Off 5 Robbers
A Bridgeport bakery employee fought off five robbers, one of whom was armed, according to a report.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A worker managed to fight off five men who are accused of attempting an armed robbery of a bakery, according to News 12 Connecticut. The crime occurred at 4:30 a.m. at Chaves Bakery on Madison Avenue.
The five men broke into the store via a back gate and one had a firearm. The worker threw a chair at the men and shut the lights off, causing the men to flee, News 12 Connecticut reported.
The employee said that this was the second time the store had been targeted in a robbery. Police are investigating the incident.
