Bridgeport Driver Accused Of Hitting Pedestrian In Deadly Crash

The driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport woman is accused of fatally hitting a Stratford man with her car Friday in Bridgeport, according to police. Jose David Alamo-Diaz, 39, was crossing Barnum Avenue about 1:30 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Moniece McNeil, 27, police said.

McNeil, who was intoxicated, according to police, was charged with second-degree manslaughter, driving under the influence and driving without insurance, court records said. Her next court date is Nov. 12.
