Bridgeport To Lift Pandemic Curfew

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The city's 8 p.m. curfew will be lifted on Friday, which will allow businesses to stay open later, The Connecticut Post reported. The curfew had been imposed as of April 8.

The "recommended" curfew encouraging residents to stay in their homes was intended to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Beardsley Zoo is scheduled for a June 1 reopening under new restrictions, including the closure of indoor areas.

Mayor Joe Ganim still urged residents to continue to be cautious as the state endures the COVID-19 pandemic, The Post reported.
