BRIDGEPORT, CT —A Bridgeport man is accused of committing a serious assault in Norwalk in 2018 and then fleeing to California. Nicholas Richards, 25, was arrested for second-degree assault and second-degree strangulation, The Connecticut Post reported.

He was initially held at the Lost Angeles County Correctional Facility and was later transported to Norwalk. The arrest was tied to an incident when Richards allegedly strangled and punched the victim repeatedly.
