BRIDGEPORT, CT — A West Haven man has been charged after he robbed a man at knifepoint, according to the Connecticut Post. Duane Merritt, 42, of Court Street, was charged with first-degree robbery, attempted first-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and second-degree larceny.

The victim was walking home on Boston Avenue when Merritt approached him, pulled out a knife, and lunged at him. The victim handed over his bag to Merritt, who ran off.
