Man Seriously Injured After Running Across I-95 In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A man was seriously injured after he attempted to run across I-95 and was struck by a car, according to state police. Robert Linver, 30, of 90 Birch Hill Road in Weston, stopped his car for unknown reasons in the right shoulder at exit 29 on I-95 south at 6:13 p.m. Tuesday.

He got out of his car and then ran across traffic. He was hit by a Mercedes Benz traveling in the left lane, according to police.

Linver was transported to Brideport Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. No one in the car that struck him was reported injured.
