Not filmed here but filmed in STAMFORD the 1947 film BOOMERANG is a excellent movie .The mayor at the time JASPER MC'LEVY would not allow the movie to be filmed here.THE film stars DANA ANDREWS/JANE WYATT/LEE J.COBB/KARL MALDEN/was done quite well.The story is about a priest from BRIDGEPORT was murdered on MAIN ST.near the LYRIC THEATER.IT is a semi-documentary styled film but very informative.THE scenes though shot in STAMFORD show a reseblance to our city.
