Webster Bank Arena Ordered To Pay $200k In Boy's Fall

The boy fell when a railing gave way and landed on his head.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Webster Bank Arena owners were ordered to pay $200,000 after an 8-year-old Wilton boy sustained a falling injury during a hockey game.

The boy attended a 2013 game and was leaning on a railing near the players entrance in order to high five the players, according to the Connecticut Post. The decision came after three hours of jury deliberations

The railing failed and the boy fell five feet onto his head. He sustained a concussion and other head trauma that will require future medical treatment.
