Suspect Found On Foot On I-95 After Police Chase

Bridgeport police chased a BMW across town lines and Fairfield officials helped to apprehend the suspect.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A police chase that started in Bridgeport but crossed into Fairfield ended with the suspect being discovered on foot on Interstate 95, according to Bridgeport police. The chase began about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, when law enforcement pursued a blue BMW near Fairfield and Railroad avenues in Bridgeport, according to Bridgeport Public Information Officer Terron Jones.

The BMW fled to Fairfield, where the vehicle hit a curb on Kings Highway Cutoff, according to Fairfield police. The driver then exited the BMW near Best Western Plus, before being apprehended on I-95 northbound in the area of the Exit 24 ramp, Jones said. Fairfield police assisted Bridgeport officers in locating the suspect, according to Jones.
