Plan On Snow Thursday In Connecticut

And another major storm is forecast headed into the weekend for Connecticut. Here are the updated details about the stormy forecast.

It's not much, but for those of us who are starved for snow, well here is some news for you. The National Weather Service says we should expect snow showers on Thursday.

Once the snowflakes end, it will be all rain on Friday night and Saturday. The NWS says, "As we head toward Thursday, things will begin to change as the atmosphere provides some added moisture, associated with a warm front and an upper level disturbance.

Unfortunately, this weather system is scheduled to spread precipitation across the region just as the morning commute gets underway. Locations north and west of New York city may experience
a period of snow showers that could coat the ground and make for slippery travel conditions.

This threat evens exists further east, but for a briefer time frame. This is not expected to be a heavy or particularly long duration event, but even small amounts of frozen precipitation can be treacherous. The mixed precipitation should move away from the area during the afternoon.

It appears a much wetter system is poised to impact the entire region Friday night and Saturday. At this time, it looks like this system will be primarily rain in all areas."
