2 Escape House Fire In West Hartford

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze on Wednesday night.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire on North Main Street in West Hartford on Wednesday night. Crews responded to the scene at 93 North Main Street at about 9:40 p.m. The fire-arriving company arrived within three minutes of dispatch, according to fire officials.

WTNH News 8 reports Good Samaritans, who were driving by, saw the fire and helped the two occupants escape from the house before fire crews arrived. The cause of the fire, which remains under investigation, damaged part of the back-end of the home’s second floor.
