CT DOT Post Road Paving Continues In Westport

CT Transportation Dept.:The Selectman’s Office reminds residents and businesses that the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s nighttime milling and resurfacing project on a 1.85-mile section of Route 1 in Westport began on Tuesday, September 3 and will continue through Wednesday, September 25, 2019.

Lane Closure Information

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 between the Norwalk Town Line and Route 136 (Compo Road North). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
