WINDSOR, CT — Hartford-based Sardilli Produce & Dairy Co. has altered plans to expand its operations in East Windsor and instead will move to a recently vacated facility in Windsor, according to The Hartford Business Journal. The family-owned food distributor had planned to build a 202,400-square-foot distribution center on a piece of East Windsor farmland, a project the company received a tax abatement for.

However, the company has now embarked on a similar tax abatement process to expand at 550 Marshall Phelps Road, the former home of Konica Minolta, which closed last year. Sardilli is expected to invest $15.4 million in the 217,496-square-foot facility.

It's unclear why the company scrapped its East Windsor plans. Read the full story in The Hartford Business Journal.
