East Windsor Fire Displaces 12 Apartment Units

A Sunday night fire has damaged an apartment building.

EAST WINDSOR, CT — Residents in a total of 14 apartments were displaced by a fire Sunday night, according to police. Emergency crews responded to the call at 11:30 p.m. for a report of smoke at the Mill Pond Village Apartments.

Crews worked quickly and extinguished the fire within 30 minutes. Fire departments that assisted in responding included Broad Brook, Warehouse Point, South Windsor, Ellington, Enfield, and Somers.

There were no injuries and all pets are accounted for. The families that were displaced worked with the Red Cross for temporary housing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
