Chaos In DC Neighborhood As Shots Ring Out: Report
Police reportedly are investigating after someone started shooting near a grocery store in a D.C. neighborhood.
WASHINGTON, DC -- It was a chaotic scene in the Shaw neighborhood in D.C. Wednesday night after someone started shooting near the Giant there, according to a report.
Popville, citing local residents, reported that around five to 10 gunshots were heart near the Giant on 7th Street NW shortly before midnight.
Residents said that the Metropolitan Police Department was hunting for shell casings.

Twitter user Phil Sgro said that he lives across the street from the Giant and saw pedestrians "ducking/fleeing and a car hop the curb and then turn up 8th to get out of the immediate area."
"It was honestly a very scary sight," he said.

Another eyewitness reported seeing teens fleeing on foot, according to Popville.
I live right across street from the Giant in Shaw. Heard 4-5 gun shots around 11PM. Looked out my window and viewed pedestrians ducking/fleeing and a car hop the curb and then turn up 8th to get out of the immediate area. Called 911 to report.
