Free Capital Bikeshare Offered In DC For Earth Day

Here's how you can get a free 24-hour pass on Capital Bikeshare for Monday, April 22.

WASHINGTON, DC—As we celebrate Earth Day, there's no better time to try out environmentally-friendly forms of transportation. That's why Capital Bikeshare is offering free rides on Monday, April 22 in D.C. and other areas it serves.

Riders can get a 24-hour pass good for unlimited 30-minute rides throughout the day. Bikes must returned to a Capital Bikeshare dock within 30 minutes to avoid extra time fees.

To redeem the offer, download the Capital Bikeshare app. Click on "choose a pass" and select 24-hour pass. Use promo code EARTHDAY19 and enter your information to create an account. A valid credit card is required to set up an account.

Capital Bikeshare stations can be found all throughout D.C. Click here for a map.

Capital Bikeshare offers 4,300 bikes at over 500 stations in Washington, DC, Arlington County, Alexandria, Fairfax County, Montgomery County, Md. and Prince George's County, Md. Prices are typically $2 for a single trip, $8 for a 24-hour pass, $17 for a three-day pass and $85 for an annual membership.
