WASHINGTON, DC -- A Hollywood star probably best known for The Breakfast Club -- a film set in a library -- was spotted in a D.C. library recently to promote an entirely different film.

Emilio Estevez was at the Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library recently to provide a sneak peak at his new film about librarians helping the homeless community, according to a report.

The DC Line reported that Estevez -- Martin Sheen's son and Charlie Sheen's brother -- was at the library on March 26 for a screening of The Public, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. Jena Malone, Alec Baldwin, and Christian Slater also star in the film.

Besides his famous family, Estevez is best known for starring in The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire, and The Mighty Ducks, to name a few of his acting credits.

The Cleveland Park event was one of 30 such screenings held nationwide at public libraries, The DC Line reported. The film will open in theaters nationwide on April 5.

The film examines the relationship between the homeless and librarians, who often must become de facto social workers to care for people who use the libraries as a refuge.
