Rainy Week Ahead For DC

However, the sun returns in time for the weekend.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Sick of the rain? Too bad, because there's lots more coming for D.C. residents.

The rain you see right now is unlikely to let up until the end of the week, and to add insult to injury, we'll be feeling the heat as well on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service's extended forecast for our area.

The area could see up to a half inch of rain on Monday with an overall chance of precipitation at 80 percent for the day. It will be chilly with highs in the high 60s.
