Garrett Rolfe's Stepmother Fired Same Day He Turned Himself In
The stepmother of the former cop who killed Rayshard Brooks has filed a defamation lawsuit.
ATLANTA, GA — A defamation lawsuit has been filed by a metro Atlanta mortgage broker. The lawsuit is against the stepmother of former Atlanta police officer Garrett Rolfe.
Rolfe is charged with the murder of Rayshard Brooks. He is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, criminal damage to property and violation of oath by a public officer.
Melissa Rolfe said she was fired from Equity Prime Mortgage for simply being the stepmother, reported WXIA. The lawsuit claims she was hired under false pretenses and reprimanded for repeated infractions.
