Inmate Escapes From Georgia Transitional Center: Police

The Georgia Department of Corrections alerted the public Wednesday that a felon escaped and to be on the lookout.

COBB COUNTY, GA β€” A felon has escaped and authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout. Courtney Adrius Lee is described as a 6-foot-2 black man weighing 150 pounds.

Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach and call 911.

WSB reports that Lee had been held in the Georgia transitional center on Ponce de Leon Avenue while finishing his sentence for forgery, cocaine possession and a motor vehicle violation out of Cobb County.

According to The Georgia Department of Corrections, this was Lee’s fifth time in the state prison. He has been convicted in multiple other cases in Cobb County. Charges range from obstruction to drug possession to theft, state prison records show.
