Construction Closes Lane On Waukegan Road In Deerfield

Underground utility work starting Monday requires the outside lane to be closed north of Greenwood Avenue.

DEERFIELD, IL — Roadwork is reducing southbound Waukegan Road to a single lane in Deerfield this week. From 9 a.m. Monday, the outside lane of Waukegan Road north of Greenwood Avenue and south of Ivy Lane will be closed to allow for installation of underground utilities as part of the Greenwood Avenue project, according to village officials.

Meanwhile, Greenwood Avenue west of Waukegan Road will be closed completely. The work is expected to be complete by Friday. Village officials provided a map showing how the traffic pattern has been adjusted during construction.
