Benefit Planned For Frankfort Square Man Battling Cancer

The benefit will help cover medical treatment costs and help the family while Bryan is unable to work.

FRANKFORT, IL — A benefit has been planned for a Frankfort Square man battling stage 3 rectal cancer. Bryan Jurgovan was diagnosed with the cancer in July 2018, his wife Jennifer said. The "Benefit 4 Bryan: Fishing For A Cure," will be held June 29 at the Matteson American Legion from 3 to 8 p.m.

Jennifer said the benefit will help cover medical treatment costs and help the family while Bryan is unable to work. All are welcome to the benefit, and there will be a bounce house for kids and carnival fishing themed games for adults.

There will also be raffles and silent auctions, with several prizes like White Sox tickets, gift cards, fishing tackle, beer tastings and more.

Discounted entry tickets are available until June 28; tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages 6-12. Tickets include food, soda and water, and there is a cash bar.

The Matteson American Legion is located at 3537 214th St., in Matteson.
