Car Submerged In Pond In Frankfort, Driver OK: Reports

The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Northern Illinois Fire Ground.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort Police and Fire departments, as well as several other agencies, responded Saturday night for a report of a vehicle in a pond. According to Northern Illinois Fire Ground, the incident happened at 10:50 p.m. April 13 near Steger Road and Harlem Avenue.

NIFG said the car was completely submerged in a pond. The driver was taken to a local hospital and was in good condition, police said. Charges are pending for DUI against the driver, according to police.
