Frankfort Approves Massage Establishment, Office Building

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Aug. 3 meeting, the Frankfort village board approved a special use permit to allow a massage establishment in the historic district. Equanimity Massage and Wellness will move from its current Frankfort Square location to 301 N. White St., in Frankfort.
Board documents state the plan commission recommended approval of the project.

The board also approved a major planned unit development change for Crown Centre lot 2, in the Garden Gate Crossing shopping center. The approval will allow for an 8,183-square-foot multi-tenant office building to be constructed.
According to board documents, this is the last remaining undeveloped lot in the center, located south of the southwest corner of La Grange Road and Lincoln-Way Lane.

The property was originally approved in 2011 for a multi-tenant office building, but in 2016, a multi-tenant retail building was approved, board documents state. The project has now been changed back to an office building.
The plan commission also unanimously recommended approval of the project.
