Frankfort Area Coronavirus Cases Increased By 21 Over Past Week

FRANKFORT, IL — The number of Frankfort's coronavirus cases increased by 21 cases over the past week, according to data from the Will County Health Department. Frankfort (ZIP code 60423) has 193 cases as of July 8, compared to 172 cases on July 1, which represents a 12.2 percent increase and marks the largest increase in several weeks.

Health authorities do not provide the number of deaths or recoveries by municipality.

IDPH is also reporting a total of 2,950 tests have been performed for ZIP code 60423.

In nearby towns in the Lincoln-Way area, both Mokena (ZIP code 60448) and New Lenox (ZIP code 60451) have fewer cases, with 177 and 171 cases, respectively, as of July 8. Manhattan (ZIP code 60442) has 50 cases, according to data from the county health department.
