Farina, Borrelli, Petrow Projected Winners For Village Trustee

The projected winners are below for the Frankfort village trustee, Summit Hill and D157C races.

FRANKFORT, IL —With all the precincts reporting, the projected winners of several local Frankfort races have been declared. In a close race for Frankfort village trustee, the three candidates with the most votes are Margaret Farina, Jessica Petrow and Adam Borrelli.

For Summit Hill District 161 school board, the projected winners are Stacey Borgens, George Leonard and Trudy Sturino.

Lastly, the projected winners for the District 157C school board are Brian Skibinski with 1,291 votes, Edith Lutz with 1,284 votes, Larry Kociolek with 1,209 votes and Michael Bouck with 1,351 votes.

  • Kennedy: 1,158
  • Borrelli: 1,353

District 157C School Board (vote for four)

With 15 out of 15 precincts reporting:

  • Bhargava: 819
  • Skibinski: 1,291
  • Lutz: 1,284
  • Kociolek: 1,209
  • Bouck: 1,351

Summit Hill School Board (vote for three)

With 14 out of 14 precincts reporting:

  • Borgens: 1,197
  • Leonard: 1,112
  • Sturino: 1,058
  • Campbell: 883
  • Staples: 779

"I will bring a fresh perspective and different lens to the current board. I will be that balance, honoring our past and embracing our future," she said.

"Voters should trust me based on my life's work to help others by working and volunteering for mission oriented nonprofit organizations," Farina said.

"I am a scientist so I understand the need to make decisions based on reliable data with a plan to understand how decisions impact the intended outcomes. As a director of a hospital safety program, I understand that decisions can be made only with a clear understanding of how all stakeholders are impacted," he said.

"Our children are our most precious assets and we should do everything in our power to keep them safe when they are at school. I want Frankfort District 157C to be the safest school district in Illinois," Bouck said.

"While a district's function is to educate children, it is paramount that all school business, whether it be school board meeting agendas, student accomplishments, and everything in between be easily accessible to every person in our community," he said.

"I have been a family physician for 15 years, practicing with the highest ethics and standards. I would take this elected role seriously and do my best to include voters' opinions and thoughts," Bhargava said.

"I am an independent thinker who will put the best interests of the students, families and community members of the Summit Hill Community first," she said.
