FRANKFORT, IL — The first graders at Dr. Julian Rogus School in Frankfort recently celebrated Chinese New Year on Feb. 5. The school said the students have been learning about the celebration, as well as China's customs and traditions.

To wrap up the unit on China, the first grade classes had a dragon parade for the students at the school. The school said students created a very large dragon, dragon masks, Chinese lanterns, learned how to write Chinese numbers, and completed several other activities.
