Frankfort Plans Kids Fishing Derby

Prizes will be awarded for the most fish caught and the biggest fish caught in each age bracket.

FRANKFORT, IL — The village of Frankfort will hold the Frankfort Fishing Derby on Father's Day weekend. The derby will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Prairie Park in downtown Frankfort. The event is for kids ages 3-12 and it is $3 for residents and $10 for non-residents.

The fee includes a T-shirt, drink and snack, and fishing hook and bait. The village said prizes will be awarded for the most fish caught and the biggest fish caught in each age bracket. Registration is required for the event, and you must register by June 12.
