WILL COUNTY, IL — A lost dog or cat can be a pet owner's worst nightmare. Families often cover towns in 'lost pet' flyers and reach out on social media for help. The Will County Animal Control is one resource in Will County that shares lost and found animals Facebook page.

For those who may be searching for a pet, or if you have seen a lost animal and are trying to report it, Patch has created a list of animals who were recently lost or picked up by Will County Animal Control, as well as pets listed on the Lost Dogs of Illinois and Lost Cats of Illinois Facebook pages.

Joliet

Manhattan

  • A female Shepherd was found in Manhattan on Aug. 14. She has no microchip.

Plainfield

  • A cat was found on Aug. 18 in Plainfield at Caton Farm and Route 59. The cat is skinny and malnourished.

Homer Glen

  • Cubby the cat has been missing from Homer Glen since Aug. 3. He was last seen at Parker and Chicago Bloomington Trail.

Romeoville

  • Midnight the cat has been missing from Romeoville since Aug. 17. She was last seen at Healy and Haller avenues.

Crete

  • A male Cocker Spaniel on Aug. 20 in Crete Township. The dog has a chip, but it's registered to the old owner.
